WITHIN YOUR ARMS

by

G.M.Kelly

O Stranger with the laughing eyes,
Whose look doth cause my heart to
      leap,
Whose glance doth bring about the
      sighs
And haunt my every moment of
      sleep;

Why are we thrice together
      thrown
By Forces unseen to our eyes?
What is the reason to me unknown
That makes my passionate Spirit
      rise?

No words can answer to this query,
No thoughts express the reason
      why,
And thinking of it I grow weary--
And sometimes wish that I would
      die.

But wait! The answer comes to me!
It lies within your subtle charms.
O don't you see! O don't you see!
I am to die within your arms--
